Scouts: Chillout Camp, Greenwich District Campsite

Chillout Camp 2011The Scouts, still hungry for more after summer camp, decided to take a weekend away at the Greenwich District Campsite in Downe. The camp was called Chillout, which is exactly what they did. All of the programme, menu and everything else were discussed, planned and executed by the Scouts themselves.

They arrived on the Friday night and proceeded to put tents up (in the dark!) and got a fire going. Each of the patrols got up in the morning and prepared their kitchen area before commencing the weekend’s activities.

This consisted of games, challenges and of course all of the graft and skill required to run a camp. This included:

Chillout Camp 2012– Football
– Cricket
– Cooking their meals
– Wide game (stealth in the woods)
– Rounders
– Knife and axe work
– Volleyball

Considering the time of year, they were very lucky with the weather and are all looking to go on another chillout camp already!
