Scouts at Jubilee Park

For a change of pace, the Scouts went out tonight on an Orienteering Challenge in Jubilee park, near Bromley High School. The evening was a beautifully warm early summer’s evening and perfect for getting outdoors for a challenge.

We split the troop into two teams and challenged them to complete as many bases on the park’s excellent orienteering course in the short time that we have for a normal meeting night. The winning team would be the ones who managed to find more bases, gathered the brass rubbing at the base (evidence of course) and returned to the start point without being late.

The two teams did very well, maximising their scouting knowledge to bring home a fairly narrow victory for Tigers’ patrol.
